Hey, I'm Ben.
I'm a Senior Equity Research Associate at Wolfe Research on the #1 Institutional Investor-ranked Healthcare & Managed Care team, with ~2.5 years of sell-side experience. I cover 16 companies across managed care and healthcare services.
Day-to-day, I help drive the full research process across our coverage—maintaining detailed financial models, tracking newsflow and industry developments, publishing reports, and engaging directly with hedge funds and asset managers.
In addition, I've built proprietary datasets and analytical tools leveraging CMS data across Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and the ACA exchanges. This includes tracking enrollment, deconstructing Star Ratings and risk adjustment, and analyzing benefit design and member mix at scale. More broadly, I focus on transforming large, fragmented government datasets into structured, investable insights. This work expands the depth of analysis our team can deliver and feeds directly into our models and published research, helping clients understand how policy and operational changes translate into revenue, margins, and earnings.
Separately, I build software. I was a top 1% Cursor user in 2025 (15B+ tokens) and now use Claude Code and Cursor interchangeably. I've built full data platforms and mobile apps from scratch—not as my day job, but as a way to solve problems faster and think through ideas.
